DCA Vantage QC

Hello! We are currently performing QC daily for the DCA Vantage. How often is your laboratory performing this QC? We are thinking about switching to monthly, new lot/new shipment which follows the package insert. Thoughts and concerns appreciated. Thanks! :)

We do monthly and with each new lot/shipment. Our reference lab does the same. With the cost of the cartridges and QC, you would have a significant savings by switching.

Hi Daye, we currently perform QC daily in addition to any new lots/shipments.

We perform monthly and each new shipment

We perform QC monthly, and with newlot/new shipments [and new operator training]. As a waived instrument, we can follow the manufacturers' IFUs.

I'm typing what is on the top of our QC log because we ended up 'itemizing' to avoid testing sites coming back with 'oh, you should have said that'. ;-)
QC performance: "each shipment/new lot# of cartridges, when results do not match the patient's clinical condition, each time a calibration card is scanned, every 30 days (if I'm the auditor, I allow 30-31 days), and following maintenance or repair".
