Epoc Reference Ranges

For the most part, we follow main laboratory ranges for the Chemistries and the Blood gas ranges for the normals and critical values that RT and the pulmonologists have approved. 
This means that we do not have to do normal range studies for any test parameter. 
The only exceptions to this are lactate. We follow the manufacturers ranges for lactate.  he main lab only has one value, where as the ISTAT (our blood gas instrument also) breaks the normals down by sample type.
