waived cepheid covid/flu testing swipe test

Hi all,

We are currently using the Cepheid to perform the Covid/flu/rsv/strep and I was wondering if anyone has a procedure or tracks a monthly swipe test to ensure the area is clean and the wells are not contanimated? If so, would you be willing to share your procedure or thoughts on this?

We are a CAP accredited moderate complex lab in an urgent care location. We have been doing this for two years and have had one positive test. I also monitor positivity rates to be sure we are not seeing unusual patterns.
