Inquiry on CLIA Waiver for Mobile Lead Screenings

Our pediatric team have asked to start mobile lead screenings at community centers and early learning centers. They have asked for guidance on CLIA requirements, policies and procedures, infection control, and any QA considerations. I want to make sure we’re setting this up the right way from the beginning.  Does anyone have some insight into obtaining a CLIA of waiver for mobile testing and setting up a mobile testing clinic?

Thanks!

Hi Falynn,
One insight from experience with CoW and PPMPs is that it pays for the lab/POCC to check with the 'local' State CLIA office to get advice especially on a certificate one applies for (FORM 116) where 'mobile' is going to be selected for type of 'lab'/testing location.
