Hemoccult Annual Competency Requirements

Hi all,
What is everyone doing for FOB hemoccult annual competency? Our system has previously required a test patient, both levels of QC, and a Healthstream assignment for each POC test. We are thinking about removing the test patient requirement because our new LIS doesn't work well with test patients. So we would only be requiring the Healthstream assignment and QC for annual competency assessment. Since Hemoccult doesn't have external QC, we're stumped on what do require for that test. Any suggestions? We are under CAP, so we have to require 2 elements of competency assessment.

We use old CAP FOB survey specimens as an external control.
Use developer as QC (dropper between the two circles at bottom of card) and old CAP samples as test patient. However, our competencies are on paper, so our "patient" ID is manually documented.
