Nova Docking Station Cleaning/Disinfection

Hi all! We are trying to figure out how best to implement the updated IFUs stating that the docking station must be cleaned and disinfected every 3 days. It's a bit disappointing that we can't send an automated message to the device every three days. We are floating around using MTE or sending messages every 3 days for a set period of time. If you're using the Nova StatStrip glucometers, how are you planning on implementing this change at your facility?

When I discussed this with Nursing they did not want a paper trail so we are going to make it a part of the procedure that the docking stations are cleaned daily after the controls are performed. It will be expected that it is cleaned just like we expect them to wear gloves with each test they perform.
