Hemochron cleaning

Good morning,
How is everyone managing the cleaning logs for the Hemochron and i-STAT devices, given that both are handheld, portable instruments requiring disinfection after each patient use?

We currently use RALS and are experiencing an issue with the i-STAT cleaning/disinfection code as the cleaning code does not appear to transmit patient results to Epic. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, how was it addressed?

Additionally, does the Hemochron system have a built-in cleaning or disinfection code feature?

Hi Kaur- I will follow this conversation, because I am not aware of the "cleaning code".  I too use RALS.  This is why this listserve is so important to me... and POC in general.
Thank you!

In our policy we state that the device must be cleaned after each patient use but do not have a log to fill out with it since it is typically used each day. I'd be interested to know if others use some log or way to document.
