CAL/VER on sampling of iSTATs or all?

This may not help you too much because we only have a handful of iSTATs doing different testing at different locations. I think your answer may lie in what cartridges you're using and of course your accreditation agency. We have mixed use, some waived and some are moderate complexity. So we do CAL/VER on all of our iSTATs. Abbott Tech Support should also provide guidance.

My team only uses the iSTAT for waived Creatinine testing, but we perform cal/ver on each of our analyzers annually. 

We do a sampling of our iSTAT fleet with each software update. We run multiple cartridge types. 

I believe a sample would be sufficient as long as you show that you are rotating it amongst the devices on the unit. You can't just do a cal ver on only a select few. That is my understanding. 

We were JUST sited on our CAP inspection this month because we were only using a selection of i-STATs for our Cal/Ver as instrument-to-instrument comparisons. We now have to test the entire fleet.

COM 04250 is for multi instrument comparisons not your Cal/Ver.  I would fight that one if they did it for cal/ver.  You do need to compare each Istat to each other but that's something totally different.

We do cal ver on a rotation. ISTATs are divided up into spring and fall after the CLEW update.
