Has anyone heard that Abbott will no longer be selling the Freestyle Precision Pro? One of our new hospitals wanted to purchase to match the other hospitals in the system, and are being told Abbott no longer sells them. I did some web-surfing but didn't see any formal announcement. It reminds me a bit of the whole Lifescan deal many years ago, but at least they put out an announcement!

I've discovered that the information given to us by the purchasing folks was wrong--there is no discontinuation of the Abbott Freestyle Precision Pro. I don't know where the group that gave us the news got their information, and we're investigating that now. I'm happy that it turned out to be false information, and we can continue to use the meters.
