epoc TCO2 linearity validation

Hi All,
We are in the middle of our epoc validation and have come across a problem with TCO2 specifically. Our reportable range is 10-50 but the calibration material the vendor used while on site to validate only went from about 6.5-30. We know there is a GAS-ISE Metabolite Level 6 that would help us reach the high end of our range, but the vendor stated that customers typically do not need this for the validation. Can anyone elaborate on how they have gone about validating without this level 6 material?

We haven't started our validation yet, but we will be doing the Level 6. We are also going to potentially order Eurotrol Hypoxic and Hyperbaric to allow for a larger pO2 range.
