Looking for better ways

Hello,
My Supervisor wanted me to reach out.  Can you please see the questions below and respond if you can?

POC Device type:

# of devices of each type:

What areas or units are the devices used:

Do they have a usage protocol?  If so,  would they be willing to share your protocol?

How do they charge for the tests each device uses?  Rolled into room charge?  Billed individually?

Do you educate physicians on usage?

How is testing ordered?
    Order sets
    Individual tests

As our POC department grows, we are always looking for better ways to do things.  I appreciate any and all information.  Just write what you can and if I need more information or don’t understand; I will reach out.

Thank you again and have a safe 4th of July,
Patti Hezel

AccuChek=152 Used throughout hospital
iSTAT=57 Used in Cardiac and Medical ICU's, Radiology (waived), Cath lab, ENDO, Surgery, Nursery and our STAT POC Lab in ED
AVOX=4 Used in Cath Lab and Surgery Hybrid room
Teg 6s=2 Used in Surgery and our Cardiac ICU
Usage Protocol-as long as MD ordered and they have appropriate device/cartrige they can use. Only documented Users who have completed competency may perform, lock out is used through Middleware.
All our tests are billed individually when passed into EPIC
MD's have competent User perform testing.
There may be order sets in EPIC but show up as individual order
This is all to the best of my knowledge.
