Abbott ID NOW External Quality Controls

The state of Maryland COMAR rules (until 03/2026) require external Quality Controls to be performed weekly on every single use test device. This has been repealed.
How often is everyone performing external Quality Controls on Abbott ID NOW COVID, Strep A, Flu A/B?

We performed QC per lot # and shipment.

Same as Tracie. We get alot of different lot#s since we don't work out of a reserved lot# for these reagents. Each testing site tracks receipt of per lot and shipment at their testing site.

We do not perform QC on each device within a testing site; we rotate QC performance among the number of ID NOWs in a testing site.
