Is anyone using a waived CBC analyzer?

Any information on waived CBC analyzers such as CytoChip, XW-100 etc. is appreciated. Thanks!

We looked at these for our special pathogens lab, but the instruments suppress the abnormal results.  Our ED docs and director wanted to have those abnormal values.  We ended up with the Pixcell, like CytoChip, also a cartridge-based device- better for potentially infrequent use.

I was looking at the hemoscree  for our cancer center.  Covid happened we never discussed again.  I was reallybinterest d in the hemoscreen and still am as I am looking at creating POC stat labs in our ED’s.

We are also looking for a small cbc instrument for one of our clinics. We met with Sysmex yesterday and they pointed out that most waived instruments are not validated for chronically ill patients and will not release many abnormal results. CytoChip was the one our clinic had requested, but it does not work at high elevations and the clinic is at 9000ft. Still looking for a good option.
