Any information on waived CBC analyzers such as CytoChip, XW-100 etc. is appreciated. Thanks!

If you get abnormal results, the device will ask you to repeat the patient. Everything has to be entered in exactly the same or it won't match up with the first run. Then, if results are still abnormal, they may be suppressed from the result printout. We then have to send the specimen out to our main lab for full CBC testing.
Honestly, our providers there hate it and have been choosing not to order the POC test. They would rather wait for a stat courier to take the sample to the bigger lab and just get full results from the get go. And, even though the instrument has been validated and correlated to main lab analyzers, for some reason they still don't trust it to give true values. It is basically just taking up space right now.
Karissa, your information is very helpful.
