ROM Plus vs. Amnisure

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on the ROM Plus vs. the Amnisure test kits?

I use AmniSure at my current facility. We have nursing staff perform the test in L/D and then our MDs can perform it in the OB clinic. It is nice that everything is packaged together as far as the swab, test strip, and diluent.

At my previous lab, I used ROM Plus. We allowed nursing staff to collect the sample but not perform the test. It was sent down to lab. That specific test kit can be ordered with the collection materials separate from the test kits. I didn't feel like the built in timer was necessary

Both are simple to use and I've had no issues with either. The rinsing step in diluent is only 15 seconds with ROM vs 60 seconds with Amnisure but that isn't a big holdup.
