Hello, I was just wondering how other facilities are handling nursing student access to the StatStrip meters. They are not employees of our facility. If you do have training and competencies on file how are different CLIA sites handled. They want to do just one training and competency even though different CLIA sites have different requirements. Is a nursing instructor from an educational site able to sign off on training and competencies if they are not employed by the CLIA site? Any help and insight would be greatly appreciated.

Judging from the lack of responses, no one is allowing nursing students access to do glucoscans at other facilites????
