Nova StatStrip Meters not Compatible with Dock

Has anyone experienced where a meter will not connect to a dock not lights) but will work with a different meter? I have reached out to Nova and they said it happens rarely, but sometimes the meters are not compatible with the docks. When this meter was on said docks and all pieces would get overheated and warm/hot to touch. Now it happened on another I wanted to see if anyone had this issue.

Yes ma'am. We have had that issue. You have to return the meter for a replacement.
We have also had an issue where the indicator light burn out / stopped working.

I am thinking to try other areas of the hospital and see what area I can put it in like Tammy mentioned, otherwise I will see if Nova will take it back.
The ethernet cord was directly plugged into a wall jack. And the second one I tried, no ethernet cord was connected at all.
