Aloha all,
Happy Monday everyone! While a patient is in house, does your facility allow them to use their own insulin pump that has embedded glucose readings? Does anyone know if this falls under CLIA? If so, can you share your process? Please feel free to contact me offline.
Mahalo,
Shana

Are you talking about CGMs? or Continual Glucose Monitor systems. They are not FDA approved to be used in a hospital for glucose readings. We request the patient to send theirs home with their other "personal belongings". The receiver is quite small and quite expensive.
