Inconsistent results on DCA Vantage

One of our sites reached out stating that they are having some inconsistent results on their DCA Vantage. They are seeing anywhere between 1-1.5 mg/dL difference in what is expected to what the device reports. Upon repeat, the result is where they are expecting it to fall. Has anyone experienced similar issues? They have checked the temperature box, QC is passing.

Thanks to all who posted on this problem. We had not heard of any issues on 10/7/26 and I'm wondering if problem 'now' has to do with a clinic using a lot# off open stock available through distributor. I just heard our sequestered/reserved lot# was not renewed before the lot# was used.

Thanks to all who listed lot#s - appreciate this and I will post if I dig out anything useful for this group.

Jumping in to share our hospital just reported issues to Siemens with A1c cartridges lot 0581.  Similar to other posts, we have four DCA Vantage analyzers across two clinical sites with random erroneously low values.  Repeats have been closer to expected values.  We are seeing this on random patients (6 so far with clear documentation) and also QC levels.  QC is passing (when repeated if needed), calibration is up to date, and maintenance is up to date.  We have run comparison studies among these analyzers and our two we have in our POCT Lab in the Main Hospital - all passed and no issues identified.  These erroneous results have also occurred across multiple operators, some of them very experienced and SuperUsers of the device, so collection issues are not suspected.  The only commonality is the cartridge lot.  We just opened the ticket with Siemens, but I will update accordingly if any meaningful information is obtained.  I was told when I opened the ticket that there are no issues identified with any A1c cartridge lots as of yesterday (10/7/26).

Did anyone get any kind of resolution from Siemens?  We are also waiting for contracts to be signed on the Affinion.  Our high volume clinic has reported several questionable results from the DCAs.  Its frustrating to see that this thread goes back to July and no one seems to have gotten an answer!

I have not heard back from Siemens yet, despite checking in with them for a status periodically. My limiting factor to switch to the Affinion is that it has a 1-minute time limit from collection to placement on the device.
